How do I renew my car insurance and road tax with mayshowa.my?
You can do it on mayshowa.my main page by providing your vehicle details. Then the insurance quotation will be sent via email and WhatsApp. Once you have agreed to the quotation, you may proceed with payments. Your road tax will be posted to the correspondence address submitted.

Do I need to provide my registration card?
No. You don’t need to provide your registration card to renew your car insurance online. Unless there is a request from Insurers for verification purposes. For example, if your car detail is not correct or undetected in the JPJ system.

What is a comprehensive motor insurance policy?
This policy protects your car from liabilities to other parties such as death or physical injury, property damage to others, accidental or fire damages to your car, and theft.

How can I check my car insurance NCD status and expiry date?
It’s really simple, all you need to do is go to the quote page. Then, key in your personal details and car information to find out what your NCD status is and when your insurance expires. Another way is to refer to your cover note that we emailed you during your previous renewal if any.
How much should I insure my vehicle?
It is recommended that you insure your car based on the market value of your car at the point you apply for this car insurance policy. This will protect you from being underinsured.
How do I determine the sum insured for my car?
The sum to be insured should be based on the market value and agreed value of your car. Market Value is the amount based on the insurance company estimate of what your car is worth in the open market with an allowance for wear and tear and/or depreciation. Agreed Value is the amount that has been agreed to between you and your insurance company.
How is my car insurance premium calculated?

"No Claim Discount" or "No Claim Bonus" is a special discount given for every claim-free year.
What are the major exclusions for Comprehensive Motor Insurance?
This policy does not cover certain losses such as:
- Policyholder's death or bodily injury due to a motor accident;
- Policyholder's liability against claims from passengers in your vehicle; and
- Loss, damage or liability arising from an act of nature i.e. flood, storm or landslide. You may extend the additional coverage to the main policy.
Is windscreen repair included in my policy?
Our comprehensive policies cover events such as breakage of windscreen, windows or sunroof. However, if you would like to make a claim that will not affect your NCD, we recommend the purchase of a windscreen extension. This affordable extension can easily be added to your main policy during the renewal process.
Can anyone drive my car?
Yes, almost anyone can drive your car as long as they:
- have a valid licence of the relevant class to drive;
- are not disqualified from driving by the law or other reasons;
- have your permission to drive; and
- comply with all the terms and conditions of this policy.
How to add additional names to my car insurance policy?
On selected policies, we automatically allow all drivers whom you authorize to drive your car. We also have other policies where you can name additional drivers during the online purchase. For specific coverage and benefits, please refer to the individual policy for more details.
How to retrieve my car insurance policy?

How will I receive my e-policy after my payment is successful?

Charges of road tax depends on the vehicle and there will be RM12 delivery charges applied.

Can I renew my road tax if I have outstanding traffic summonses?
During the road tax renewal process, Road Transport Department (JPJ) online service will check any outstanding summons and blacklist records at both JPJ and PDRM database systems. In order to proceed with this renewal, we encourage all customers to check with JPJ or PDRM on their outstanding summonses.
